Isak Mosque is the largest and main mosque in Bitola, located along the left bank of the Dragor River. Built in 1506, the entire mosque complex was ideally located between the then administrative buildings near the Bezisten covered market and the Great Bridge that connected the mosque on the other side with the main street, Shirok Sokak.

The construction of the mosque was financed by Judge Isak Çelebi, son of Isa Fakih. Isak Çelebi was first a judge in Thessaloniki, after which he was appointed a judge in Bitola, where he moved with his family.
Today, the Isak Mosque is a cultural monument of the Republic of Macedonia and with its spectacular size and 50-meter minaret dominates the space.
The mosque was recently completely renovated by the Turkish state-owned company TIKA (Turkish International Agency for Cooperation and Development).
