The monastery St. Elijah (Св. Илија) is located on a hill just above the Krklino village. Up to the monastery leads a narrow asphalted road, which has a special regime for movement in periods when there are many visitors.
During the First World War, Krklino village and the monastery of St. Elijah were on the very front line and both were destroyed. The monastery was later rebuilt and at the entrance of the monastery today there is a bunker, which is presumed to be from that period. Within the monastery on several places there are photographs of that period.
What makes it especially interesting to visit this monastery in each period of the year is its location and the wonderful panoramas toward Pelagonija and Pelister.
