The monastery St. Peter and Paul in the vicinity of Crnovec (Црновец) village is one of the few active monasteries near Bitola. Located in a thick oak forest, the monastery is located in the immediate vicinity of the Strezevo lake.
According to a plaque located near the monastery church, the monastery exists at this place from 15th century, and it was restored in 1999. On another tombstone, it says that the monastery is the last resting place of six monks from this monastery who defending the Christian faith, bravely lost their lives in the 18th century.
The hospitable monks and caring local population make this monastery one of the favorite places to visit for all believers, especially in summer.
