The territorial Fire fighting Unit in the Bitola was established by an act of the Rumeli governor during the reign of the Turkish Sultan Mahmud II on 20.05.1836.
This makes the Bitola Fire Fightting unit the oldest in Macedonia and among the oldest in the Balkans.
Since 2005, the Territorial Fire fighting Unit in Bitola, works in conjunction with the Municipality of Bitola
