Barešani is village in Municipality of Bitola, 10 km south of Bitola city.
Placed at an altitude of 660 m above sea level on the eastern slope of Baba Mountain, in the past near the village passed the famous Via Egnatia road.
According to the 2002 census, the village had 205 inhabitants, a number that is far smaller today.
In the center of the village is the temple dedicated to St. Demetrius (Св. Димитриј) built after the First World War, and in the west part of the village is the monastery St Mercurius (Св. Меркурие), which is one of the more beautiful monasteries in this part of Bitola municipality.
