Village Velushina is located 12 km south of Bitola city at 616 m above sea level, on the very line where Baba Mountain passes smoothly into the Pelagonija valley.
The village is divided into two neighborhoods – Upper and Lower, and Veluska River flows through it.
Near the village there are traces of human existence since the earliest times, such as “Velushka” and “Porodinska” “tumba”.
“Velushka Tumba” is a Neolithic settlement, one of the numerous in Pelagonia valley that is a proof of a dynamic life in prehistory in these areas. The fertile land on which the agricultural products were planted, the proximity to “Veluska” and “Crna” Rivers and the Baba Mountain in the west, created excellent conditions for the formation of these Neolithic settlements.
