About the glory of Bitola city in the past, the “City of the consuls” or the “Most urban city in Macedonia”, as others call it, a witness is another event.
Namely, in Bitola in 1924, a chess match with live figures was held in front of the ruins of the former Red Barrack.
The chess players were Adolf Bartipan, Czech, Gymnastics teacher at the Gymnasium and Officer Chopi. For sure this was interesting event, but there is no data who won the game.
